Why I Built Mona
My wife and I are both self-employed. When one of our three kids gets sick, we juggle appointments, shifts, and handoffs. Sometimes I had to take a sick child to the doctor and didn't know exactly what had happened in the last few hours because my wife had been the one caring for them.
When was the last temperature reading? Which medication did we give, and when? Did the child drink enough? These questions sound simple, but at 3 AM, on little sleep, they're not.
Mona was born from exactly this experience. No startup pitch, no market analysis: just a real problem I could solve as a father and developer.
What Mona Solves
- 1
Handoffs Between Parents
When you take over a shift, you instantly see what happened. No need to ask.
- 2
Prepared for the Doctor
Fever trends, medications, symptoms: everything at a glance instead of reconstructing from memory.
- 3
Calm Instead of Chaos
Mona holds onto what slips your mind at 3 AM. So you can focus on your child.
What Parents Say
Like a calming hand in the chaos of illness
"When your child is sick, you worry terribly as a parent. This app is an absolute blessing for us. It takes away the stress of forgetting something in those tense moments, so I can focus fully on comforting my child. It helps us so much and was made with so much heart and wisdom. Thank you for this wonderful support!"
Simply great
"A friend recommended the app to me. I especially love being able to monitor the fever curve. But tracking things like eating habits and weight is also really helpful. With your first child you're still so unsure about everything."
Really great app
"I found the app by chance. I was looking for a tool to track the progression of my son's fever. This makes it really easy. And it offers so many other symptom trackings on top of that. Really well done!"
